For my perspective project, I decided to do a view from inside an air ballon looking out and seeing other air balloons. My inspiration for this project came from me always dreaming of riding in an air balloon. When doing my first draft, I had difficulties drawing the basket. I was originally going to do my artwork in pencil but, I decided to add color. I really enjoyed this project ,because, we could create anything we wanted. Perspective is in almost every artwork and you should really know the basics of it. In class we practiced drawing drawing cubes in first, second, and third point of view. Then we had an assignment to draw the side of our school. Then we received this project, I had many ideas, I was first going to drawing a beach with a strip of buildings in the background. Or a bridge leading to a city with sail boats. Or air balloons with buildings below. I chose to do the air balloons. When redoing the sketch, I decided to get rid of the buildings, make all the baskets square, and reposition the air balloons. It was a difficult things to draw the baskets, especially in color pencil. I was really unsure about doing it in color pencil, because, I wasn't use to using color pencils. I kept asking the people around me if it looked okay or what colors I should use a lot of times. It was also difficult drawing the ropes, it was a lot of repeating and detail. I am really pleased with my final project. I put in a lot of hard work and it was different from everyone else's. When we did a peer review in class everyone commented about how they loved the vibrant colors which is kind of funny because if I could change anything about my artwork is the colors. |
